Solution

With a full brief from the client, we designed a compact 2.3m x 2.2m garden pod to maximise functionality with a modest footprint. Careful planning of the layout meant that every little space was used effectively. The result was a surprisingly spacious feel inside.

The installation of 1.3m French doors created a large, welcoming entrance, letting in an abundance of natural light and unobstructed views of the garden when sat inside. The 300mm overhang added architectural interest to the exterior and a little weather protection for the entrance.

The idea was that this space could be used all-year round, so we made sure we installed good levels of insulation. Read more here on insulated vs non-insulated garden rooms.

Our team even worked closely with the landscaper to make sure the room matched up with the existing Indian stone flagging and planned pathway. This collaborative approach guaranteed that we could enhance rather than disrupt the overall garden design.

Despite its compact size, the garden bar delivers significant impact, demonstrating how even smaller garden rooms can have a dramatic impact when thoughtfully designed.
